BRYONY MATTHEWS We're All the Same Album Tour with Greta O'Leary

‘We’re All The Same’ the new album by Bryony Matthews is at long last ready to share.
Her first album ‘Little Queen’ was released in 2017 and while this second album may have taken a long time, Matthew’s has been very busy writing, evolving her sound and most importantly, mothering her young daughter.

This new album, which was recorded and mixed with Ryan Fisherman in The Hut in Christchurch, see’s a range of old and new songs, some touching on life as a new mother- the beauty and everything in between. The album name comes from one of the songs on the album, a poignant tune written about our dying world and the importance of focusing on our similarities rather than our differences.

Joining her on the album are an extremely talented group of Christchurch based musicians, Ryan Fisherman, Victoria Knopp, Alice Tanner, Amiria Grenell and Joshua Holmes, who also mixed and produced this album, taking Matthews’ simplistic and poignant songwriting, turning it into a beautiful collision of subtle electronic sounds, layered electric guitars and ethereal vocals, creating an eclectic folk pop sound.
The album is set to be released April 28th celebrated with a nationwide tour.

Joining me is Greta O'Leary.
Greta O’Leary is a Pōneke-based songwriter and musician whose spacious and pervasive sound contains poignant, heartbreaking and at times humorous offerings. Seizing us with her dynamic voice she bends the folk-genre to another plane, taking us on a wry journey through the depths of self, bleak longing and an earnest celebration of life. Her latest EP Treasure Horse is hypnotic, relentless, and poised in a world of her own.
