Butter Wouldn't Melt with Ari Leason | Vogelmorn Upstairs

Join us for an evening of heartfelt folk music.

Ōtaki-born singer-songwriter Ari Leason will kick us off. Her soulful blend of indie folk and intimate storytelling shines through her debut album Hello Darling. Honest, vulnerable, and deeply authentic, Ari brings songs shaped by activism, travel, and a coming-of-age journey that resonates long after the last note.

Headlining the night, Butter Wouldn't Melt recently released their album ‘Where the Roots Grow Deep’, which hit Number 3 on the Aotearoa Music Charts. This 5-piece folk band is made up of Andrea Reid (guitar and vocals) Nick Burfield (guitar and vocals), Marz Connelly (bass and vocals), Mikey Muggeridge (mandolin and vocals), and Cara Brasted (fiddle and vocals). Through powerful harmonies and upbeat instrumentals, they tie together folk, Americana, country, bluegrass styles to bring their own twist to New Zealand storytelling. As timeless as it is deeply personal, you won't want to miss this performance!
