D.I.R.T #19 | w/ TVNZ | We had disruption; how did we do?

DIRT (Disaster Innovation Research and Teaching) is your community resilience group and we meet regularly to get our neighbourhood better prepared for a significant earthquake, extreme weather, or other disaster scenario. In DIRT #19 we are taking a look at how we did when our community experienced extreme rainfall and flooding in April and what we can learn from that.

On the 17th we are doing a practice run through of various activities as on the 24th we’ll be filmed for part of a TVNZ documentary about New Zealanders ‘prepping’ in various ways. We hope that showing what we do inspires others to form or join a similar community group. Come and learn in a relaxed and fun way to help make yourself and our community better prepared to handle disruptive events.
