The sound of Wellington band fFolks (pronounced simply, "Folks"), ranges from alt-country to angular punk-pop to atmospheric soundscapes. Members Achilles Botes, Bret Thurston and Andrew Grayson weave together a spectrum of instruments including drums, effects-driven bass and mandola, tenor guitar, keys, autoharp, xylophones and harmonica to create music that is sometimes floating, sometimes driving and sometimes all of these things at once.
