Te Whanganui-a-Tara’s loudest bands are uniting for one ferocious night of sonic disorder, raising funds for their upcoming national tour.
'Twiay' is the project of Wellington-based artist Thomas Waddington. The world is against you, brings elements of post-punk rawness with shoegaze walls of sound to help bridge the gap between melody and noise. Twiay's debut ep, featuring explosive tunes such as 'Teeth' and 'Pat on the Back' is set to release at the end of the year.
Loud, fast, and aggressive, Te Whanganui-a-Tara four-piece King Hit are making their mark with their signature grunge-gaze sound. Forming in early 2025, KINGHIT have worked hard across a handful of shows around the motu, while writing their debut EP. Their first single, ‘ASTERISK’, spent two weeks at #1 on the Radio Active Top 11, solidifying their arrival as one of the city’s most exciting new heavy acts. Real mages listen to 'King Hit'.
