Kōrero Waka / Talking Transport

Come along to your community bar Vogelmorn UPSTAIRS for a lively discussion about all things transport.

We have four amazing panellists who will bring their breadth of experience in academia, politics, advocacy and advice to start the evening.

Each of our four invited guests will speak for 10-15 minutes which will be followed by a panel discussion where you can get your burning questions answered. There will also be breaks for connections amongst the audience throughout the evening too.

Joining us we have:

- Dr Caroline Shaw, public health researcher and lecturer from the Otago University School of Medicine

- Julie Anne Genter, Transport spokesperson, Green Party of Aotearoa

- Joey Shannon, infrastructure consultant

- Isabella Cawthorn, sustainable transport advocate, Talk Wellington

Vogelmorn UPSTAIRS is a community bar, which operates alongside the on-site restaurant Smoked & Pickled. Come along early to have a meal, or sustain yourself during the breaks with their tasty kai (vegetarian and vegan options plentiful).

Bring a friend, neighbour or colleague for this important conversation as Wellington moves to reduce the carbon impacts of its transport ecosystem and improve transport equity.

This event is part of a series of community discussions. We started with Wai/Water. Save the dates for the Kāinga / Housing on 14th September and Manapori / Democracy 12th October (two days before the general election).

Please note that Vogelmorn UPSTAIRS is not an accessible venue. Please get it touch if you would like to discuss specific access options for this event.
