Repairing rather than buying new is a great way to take climate action in your own life - and learn new skills along the way.
Bring along your item for repair or maintenance - clothing or lightweight household items (cushion covers etc), small electrical appliances, jewellery, gardening tools for sharpening, or that general item you've been meaning to have repaired.
Here’s the expertise we’ll have on offer:
- Jewellery fixing: clasps and wires, shortening - non-soldering jobs
- Sewing: missing buttons, tears, holes, hemming.
- Electrical repairs: small appliances only
- General repairs: wooden and mechanical - try your luck!
- Tool sharpening
Repairs will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis, so please be aware that there may be a wait for your repairer to be available. The Vogelmorn Cafe will be open to buy delicious hot drinks and snacks while you wait.
Please note that Vogelmorn Bowling Club is not a wheelchair accessible building, however there is a ramp which can be used with assistance and there is an accessible bathroom in the space.
